They struck down at that time about ten thousand Moabites, all robust and valiant men; and no one escaped.
The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, "The LORD is with you, O valiant warrior."
Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a valiant warrior, but he was the son of a harlot . And Gilead was the father of Jephthah.
So the sons of Dan sent from their family five men out of their whole number, valiant men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to search it; and they said to them, "Go, search the land." And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.
Thus 18,000 men of Benjamin fell; all these were valiant warriors.
So all of Benjamin who fell that day were 25,000 men who draw the sword; all these were valiant warriors.
And the congregation sent 12,000 of the valiant warriors there, and commanded them, saying, "Go and strike the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the little ones.
