And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying ,
For he was astonished , and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken :
And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself : for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold , there was a dead man carried out , the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
And it came to pass afterward , that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away , saying ,
But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake , they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
And it came to pass , that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel , the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,
And when the hour was come , he sat down , and the twelve apostles with him.
But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said , This man was also with him.
And Herod with his men of war set him at nought , and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death .
And the people stood beholding . And the rulers also with them derided him, saying , He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning , they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared , and certain others with them.
It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done .
And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said : but him they saw not.
But they constrained him, saying , Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent . And he went in to tarry with them.
And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together , and them that were with them,
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled , which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
