5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age , and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; 42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying . But as he went the people thronged him. 48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort : thy faith hath made thee whole ; go in peace. 49 While he yet spake , there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him , Thy daughter is dead ; trouble not the Master. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound , lo , these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? 28 But Jesus turning unto them said , Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
