'EVERY RAVINE WILL BE FILLED, AND EVERY MOUNTAIN AND HILL WILL BE BROUGHT LOW ; THE CROOKED WILL BECOME STRAIGHT, AND THE ROUGH ROADS SMOOTH ;
and they got up and drove Him out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff.
It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.
Now there was a herd of many swine feeding there on the mountain ; and the demons implored Him to permit them to enter the swine. And He gave them permission.
Some eight days after these sayings, He took along Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.
On the next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met Him.
When He approached Bethphage and Bethany, near the mount that is called Olivet, He sent two of the disciples,
As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,
"Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter the city ;
Now during the day He was teaching in the temple, but at evening He would go out and spend the night on the mount that is called Olivet.
And He came out and proceeded as was His custom to the Mount of Olives ; and the disciples also followed Him.
"Then they will begin TO SAY TO THE MOUNTAINS, 'FALL ON US,' AND TO THE HILLS, 'COVER US.'
