Young's Literal Translation
And Jesus answering them said , Have ye not read so much as this, what David did , when himself was an hungred , and they which were with him;
For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed .
When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about , and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad .
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap ; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Consider the lilies how they grow : they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Sell that ye have , and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old , a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth , neither moth corrupteth .
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded , though one rose from the dead.
Neither shall they say , Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold , the kingdom of God is within you.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying , God be merciful to me a sinner.
And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist .
No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo , nothing worthy of death is done unto him.
But the other answering rebuked him, saying , Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
