Now after that John was put in prison , Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

But when the fruit is brought forth , immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come .

For he taught his disciples, and said unto them , The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed , he shall rise the third day.

Saying, Behold , we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:

But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten : and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up , take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak , neither do ye premeditate : but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak , but the Holy Ghost.

Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death .

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

And when they heard it, they were glad , and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

And as they sat and did eat , Jesus said , Verily I say unto you , One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

The Son of man indeed goeth , as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed ! good were it for that man if he had never been born .

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest : it is enough , the hour is come ; behold , the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Rise up , let us go ; lo , he that betrayeth me is at hand .

And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying , Whomsoever I shall kiss , that same is he ; take him, and lead him away safely.

And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away , and delivered him to Pilate.

For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified .
