And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
And they laughed him to scorn . But when he had put them all out , he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying .
For Moses said , Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
But ye say , If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed , when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said , Of a child.
And straightway the father of the child cried out , and said with tears, Lord, I believe ; help thou mine unbelief.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery , Do not kill , Do not steal , Do not bear false witness , Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
And Jesus answered and said , Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
And when ye stand praying , forgive , if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye do not forgive , neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death .

And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by , coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
