Moreover when ye fast , be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast . Verily I say unto you , They have their reward.
For this is he, of whom it is written , Behold , I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring . O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid .
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying , Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth , neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
And he went a little further , and fell on his face, and prayed , saying , O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will , but as thou wilt.
Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands ,
