Young's Literal Translation
"Whoever is naive, let him turn in here !" To him who lacks understanding she says,
"Whoever is naive, let him turn in here," And to him who lacks understanding she says,
The spirit of a man can endure his sickness, But as for a broken spirit who can bear it?
Many a man proclaims his own loyalty, But who can find a trustworthy man ?
Who can say, "I have cleansed my heart, I am pure from my sin "?
Who has woe ? Who has sorrow ? Who has contentions ? Who has complaining ? Who has wounds without cause ? Who has redness of eyes ?
For their calamity will rise suddenly, And who knows the ruin that comes from both of them?
Wrath is fierce and anger is a flood, But who can stand before jealousy ?
Who has ascended into heaven and descended ? Who has gathered the wind in His fists ? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment ? Who has established all the ends of the earth ? What is His name or His son's name ? Surely you know !
That I not be full and deny You and say, "Who is the LORD ?" Or that I not be in want and steal, And profane the name of my God.
An excellent wife, who can find ? For her worth is far above jewels.
