Whosoever thereforeresisteth the power,resisteth the ordinance of God:and they that resist shall receive to themselvesdamnation.

Forrulersarenot a terror to goodworks,but to the evil. Wilt thouthennot be afraid of the power?do that which is good,and thou shalt havepraiseof the same:

For he is the minister of God to theeforgood.Butif thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bearethnot the sword in vain:for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrathupon him that doethevil.

Wherefore ye must needs be subject, notonlyforwrath,butalso for consciencesake.

Forforthiscause pay yetributealso:for they areGod'sministers, attending continuallyuponthis very thing.

Rendertherefore to all their dues:tribute to whomtribute is due; custom to whomcustom;fear to whomfear;honour to whomhonour.
