3 Escucha, pues, oh Israel, y cuida de hacerlo, para que te vaya bien y te multipliques en gran manera, en una tierra que mana leche y miel, tal como el SEÑOR, el Dios de tus padres, te ha prometido.

Deuteronomy 6:3

Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it
Or them, the commandments given them:

that it may be well with thee;
in body and estate:

and that ye may increase mightily;
not only in wealth and riches, but chiefly in numbers:

as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee;
a promise of increase of numbers was frequently made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; as that their seed should be as the stars of heaven, and as the dust of the earth, and the sand on the sea shore, innumerable; see ( Genesis 15:5 ) ( 22:17 ) ( 25:4 ) ( 28:14 ) and this especially

in the land that floweth with milk and honey;
a very common periphrasis of the land of Canaan, because of the plenty of good things in it; see ( Exodus 3:8 ) .

1 Estos, pues, son los mandamientos, los estatutos y los juicios que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios me ha mandado que os enseñe, para que los pongáis por obra en la tierra que vais a poseer,

2 para que temas al SEÑOR tu Dios, guardando todos sus estatutos y sus mandamientos que yo te ordeno, tú y tus hijos y tus nietos, todos los días de tu vida, para que tus días sean prolongados.

3 Escucha, pues, oh Israel, y cuida de hacerlo, para que te vaya bien y te multipliques en gran manera, en una tierra que mana leche y miel, tal como el SEÑOR, el Dios de tus padres, te ha prometido.

4 Escucha, oh Israel, el SEÑOR es nuestro Dios, el SEÑOR uno es.

5 Amarás al SEÑOR tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con toda tu fuerza.
