1 Entonces harás que se acerque a ti, de entre los hijos de Israel, tu hermano Aarón, y con él sus hijos, para que me sirva como sacerdote: Aarón, con Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar, hijos de Aarón.
2 Y harás vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón, para gloria y para hermosura.
3 Y hablarás a todos los hábiles artífices, a quienes yo he llenado de espíritu de sabiduría, y ellos harán las vestiduras de Aarón para consagrarlo, a fin de que me sirva como sacerdote.
4 Estas son las vestiduras que harán: un pectoral, un efod, un manto, una túnica tejida a cuadros, una tiara y un cinturón; y harán vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón y para sus hijos, a fin de que me sirvan como sacerdotes.
5 Y tomarán para ello el oro y la tela azul, púrpura y escarlata, y el lino fino.
6 Harán también el efod de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido, obra de hábil artífice.
7 Tendrá dos hombreras que se junten a sus dos extremos, para que se pueda unir.
8 Y el cinto hábilmente tejido que estará sobre él, será de la misma obra, del mismo material: de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido.
9 Y tomarás dos piedras de ónice, y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los hijos de Israel:
10 seis de los nombres en una piedra, y los seis nombres restantes en la otra piedra, segĂşn el orden de su nacimiento.

INTRODUCTION TO EXODUS 28

This chapter informs us of the servants God would have to minister to him in the house, or tabernacle, he had ordered to be made, even Aaron and his sons, Ex 28:1 of the garments they were to wear in their service, Ex 28:2-5 and first of the garments of the high priest, and particularly of the ephod, with the girdle, on the shoulder pieces of which were to be two onyx stones, with the names of the children of Israel engraved on them, Ex 28:6-14, and that of the breastplate of judgment, with the Urim and Thummum in it, Ex 28:15-30 and of the robe of the ephod, Ex 28:31-35, and of the mitre, Ex 28:36-39 and then of the garments of the common priests, Ex 28:40-43.
