9 and Ya'akov replied, "The time of my stay on earth has been 130 years; they have been few and difficult, fewer than the years my ancestors lived."

15 For in your presence we are temporary residents, just passing through, as all our ancestors were - our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.

12 Hear my prayer, ADONAI, listen to my cry, don't be deaf to my weeping; for with you, I am just a traveler passing through, like all my ancestors.

6 So we are always confident - we know that so long as we are at home in the body, we are away from our home with the Lord;

13 All these people kept on trusting until they died, without receiving what had been promised. They had only seen it and welcomed it from a distance, while acknowledging that they were aliens and temporary residents on the earth.
