You learned it from Epaphras,1 our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister2 of Christ on oura behalf,

and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.3

For this reason, since the day we heard about you,4 we have not stopped praying for you5 and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will6 through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.7

And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy8 of the Lord and may please him9 in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,10

being strengthened with all power11 according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,12 and joyfully

giving thanks to the Father,13 who has qualified youb to share in the inheritance14 of the saints in the kingdom of light.15

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness16 and brought us into the kingdom17 of the Son he loves,18

in whom we have redemption,c19 the forgiveness of sins.20
