For in Christ all the fullness1 of the Deity lives in bodily form,
and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head2 over every power and authority.311
In him you were also circumcised,4 in the putting off of the sinful nature,a5 not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ,
having been buried with him in baptism6 and raised with him7 through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.813
When you were dead in your sins9 and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature,b God made youc alive10 with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,1114
having canceled the written code, with its regulations,12 that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.1315
And having disarmed the powers and authorities,14 he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them15 by the cross.d16
Therefore do not let anyone judge you16 by what you eat or drink,17 or with regard to a religious festival,18 a New Moon celebration19 or a Sabbath day.2017
These are a shadow of the things that were to come;21 the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Do not let anyone who delights in false humility22 and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize.23 Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions.
He has lost connection with the Head,24 from whom the whole body,25 supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.26
