What's the Book of Zephaniah All About?
Who Wrote the Book of Jonah and What's its Purpose?
How many believe we all believe in the same God. That all religions and roads lead to the same place, that all denominations are equal?
xanthon The scriptures do mention false prophets and clearly refer to such as masquerade as Christian (most identifying as 'churches' today. An example is 2 Cor. 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
david.m.holly John 14:6- Jesus proclaims that he is the truth and the life, and no one comes to the father, but by him. With this scripture, it is clearly defined that any religion that denies christ and his authority is a false religion. Many will try different avenues to convince people that they can be saved, but Acts 4:12 lets us know that there is no other name given by which we must be saved other than the name of Jesus.
Docflay When you speak of religion, you speak of a mired of complex organizations, some of which have nothing to do with God, as we know him, that is through Jesus Christ our Lord; But when you speak of denominations, this is a word that categorizes the Church of our lord under the name of Christianity, and/or established church denominations. These usually are separated from each other according to belief in doctrine: that is having difference of opinion, but generally sharing the same spirit, same Lord, and same way of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. These are those who call themselves Christians.
Perhaps you need to be more specific with your question, what are you asking in particular, who is the God we serve, is he different than the other gods, and how? are there any other gods beside the Lord our God?
To answer your question, NO!
Jesus said, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE! no man comes unto the Father but by me!
