Why Do Many People View Ecclesiastes as Depressing?
This Beautiful Version of Psalm 23 Had Me in Tears
How Does Luke 15 Show God's Love Towards "Bad People"?
Insights and discussions concerning living our Christian Lives in this world while helping to support others along the way.
Just learned recently that reading and quoting the bible by a few verses can lead to wrong interpretations - confusing people on what to believe.. Here's the problem, what we believe becomes who we are in daily life..
I just recently started a new devotional blog (my first). Check it out, if you'd like. It's called "radiantdevotionals.wordpress.com".
Note: I am just curious ;)

I am also new to the group, i don't see my orginial post, is that normal? Who is the group leader?
I have spent a lifetime "saved" without knowing what it meant. My church taught me the ten commandments, condemning me to death, they never told me that i became free from the curse of the law of sin and death when Christ died for my sins. I am studying hard, and have made MAJOR adjustments to my life, but i am very interested in learning more about prayer, can anybody send me some good study material? I pray in tongues often, but would like to know more about the Words guidance on praying.... Read less . Read more
Hi all, I'm new to the group! I hope that we all learn something from the Bible and from each other!
Sorry for extra posts. I don't know why it is occurring the 3rd time.
Since my entire message did not appear, I'll place the rest of it here in hopes someone will respond. My questions were:
1. "...Some people cannot look back and thank God that the Holy Spirit revised their prayers, noted the intention and presented them to God in such a form that God could answer them." With the Holy Spirit revising prayer, how can I learn what I did wrong in my praying?
2. "...perseverance...clearly indicates a state of mind that gives God an opportunity to do things He could not safely do ... otherwise." Please clarify this.
Can anyone help me understand these? If so, please use Scripture to explain them. (I do not trust the interpretations of myself, let alone others; however, I do trust the Scriptures to interpret themselves and this is what I'm needing.) Thank you. Read less . Read more
I'm a "Spiritual Israelite" and I am what I am! Acknowledging this is the beginning; and my growth is yet to end!
I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. I believe Jesus came to earth in the form of a male baby and died on the cross for all mankind when he was in his 30s.
I believe, when I pray, I need to address my prayer to God the Father and send my prayer through Jesus, God's Son.
I believe this world is in the last days of its existence and that Jesus will soon stand up, exit the Holy Sanctuary and return to earth to gather His people in the air.
Please know it is ok if none of you believe any of this, though I do hope some in here do; so we can talk at a deep level. (I am needing the "meat" of the Word at this time in my life...not the "milk".)
I am presently attempting to understand the following comments I've heard, though cannot recall where I heard them:
1. "...Some people cannot look back and thank God that the Holy Spirit revised their Read less . Read more
I meant "Max Lucado." Yes, that's his name. I think he is one of the best pastors in the world. This week I read his book "He Chose The Nails." Now I'm reading "In the Eye of the Storm." Thank you Lord for blessing the world with such a great writer! Read less . Read more
I found this and wanted to share! It's brand new, but it looks real promising!! Maybe we can check it out...
I am reading Matt Lucado's book "Next Door Savior". Highly recommend it!

Sorry the comment appeared several times below, my computer locked up on me and this is how it posted.
Heart: the life source of our body. The wellspring of life. Everything flows from it. Without our heart pumping, we don't live. So, loving the Lord with all of your heart, would be giving everything toward that serving God (like the heart does for the body). Marriage, children, ministry, job, etc. Soul: being the spiritual part of our body given by God, I would think means keeping our connection with God pure and strong through prayer and daily studying of His Word. Love the Lord with all your soul. It’s easy in this world to give our spiritual connection to anything. People are deceived by the enemy to "connect" with spirits, angels, and other things. God wants our soul to connect with Him. Mind: I think our focus and thoughts should be on God. When we let other things enter our minds that are harmful, it affects our attitudes, relationships, etc. So, love the Lord with all your heart (life), soul (spiritual connection to God) and mind (let your thoughts be daily on God). Can anyone explain what is meant by heart, soul and mind when mentioned in the Bible.
Hello everyone, Where shall we start in this discussion?
Hello everyone glad to join.
Just completed Max Lucado's book "you'll Get through this" and what a blessing to have such a gifted writer and minister of Gods Excellence in our lives. I bought this book as I found myself struggling with sexual integrity issues over the past few years, and as a christian for about 15yrs was just not acceptable. Getting to a point where God can work in your life is not a fun place to be, however very necessary as sinfull human beings. I Thank God for using Max and this book to help me back on the path that honors God and my marriage. Maybe others can share their struggles and victories here too. As Jer. 29:11 puts it..."I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Amen to that... Read less . Read more
