Heart: the life source of our body. The wellspring of life. Everything flows from it. Without our heart pumping, we don't live. So, loving the Lord with all of your heart, would be giving everything toward that serving God (like the heart does for the body). Marriage, children, ministry, job, etc. Soul: being the spiritual part of our body given by God, I would think means keeping our connection with God pure and strong through prayer and daily studying of His Word. Love the Lord with all your soul. It’s easy in this world to give our spiritual connection to anything. People are deceived by the enemy to "connect" with spirits, angels, and other things. God wants our soul to connect with Him. Mind: I think our focus and thoughts should be on God. When we let other things enter our minds that are harmful, it affects our attitudes, relationships, etc. So, love the Lord with all your heart (life), soul (spiritual connection to God) and mind (let your thoughts be daily on God). I Thank God for using Max and this book to help me back on the path that honors God and my marriage. Maybe others can share their struggles and victories here too. As Jer. 29:11 puts it..."I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Amen to that... Read less . Read more
