There are many who have posed the questions: "Who am I, and where did I come from?". A look at the book of beginnings, the Book of Genisis gives a brief, but powerful explanation.
Not only does Genesis 1:27 give a record of the origin of mankind, it also states the type of union when it comes to cohabitation that God has blessed. Although the word "cohabitation" is not mentiontioned verbally, a reference to "be fruitful and multiply" is mentioned. Moreover, a distinction between sex is given by the use of the words "male" and "female". Here, lets take a look at the passage as recorded in the New King James Version. Beginning with verse 27..."So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female.
We find in Scripture that Adam, the first man was created, and Eve, the first woman was taken from his side, the two created by God. Nowhere have I been able to find in Scripture a record of where God blessed a union between the sexes other than male and female. It is my hope to expound on this further by incorporating more Scripture in the future. Read less
