God here lists the sins which brought about His judgement on Sodom. No where in the list is homosexuality mentioned. Pride, overabundance, laziness and self-centeredness were their down fall. America could replace Sodom in this verse. I believe we would faint if we saw the future of God's judgement on this country. God would have to apologize to sodom if He did not judge this country. No respect was shown to the aged by the armies that defeated the Jews. When, therefore, no respect is shown to the aged, the greatest barbarity must necessarily prevail. All signs of humanity had disappeared. Jeremiah presents this to the Lord in order to get His help. Wonder how God feels when He looks down on America and sees the total disrespect shown to senior citizens by young people today. Read less
