May they disappear from the earth. I trust the psalmist meant that in the sense of wiping them out. May they be removed even as the inhabitants were removed from the land during the battles of conquest. Vanish, disappear, removed from existence? That is what it sounds like to me. Who will not be removed then? Who will be left when the sinners vanish? WHat of sinners vanishing because the righteous take their place, because they become the righteous. That s the work of God, the first best most amazing work of God. Making sinners vanish by making them righteous. Let us live as those righteous ones we have been made to be. Read less
