Convinced (from NLT) could have simply meant that Eve was converted... however, the question of why she would or how she could be converted by a lie entertains me. The fact that she indeed saw proof to believe the serpent"s words is intriguing as does state in the NKJ... "the woman saw the tree was good... pleasant..." The thing the serpant did was introduce the power of this woman's eyes as in verse 5... "For God knows... your eyes will be opened..." and as a result of focus with the human eye Eve was changed from innocent being into something completely without intention. Read less

Let us be workers of the same caliber spirit as Christ and press only to fervently work as cheerful sons before our Lord.
