God's love is so great that he sent his son Jesus Christ as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Isaiah 43:1-9. Isaiah 49:16. Jeremiah 31:3. Psalm 56:8.
No matter where you are, no matter what you have done, no matter how you feel God loves you so much that he Jesus his son made the ultimate sacrifice for you.
Things, as they are today, are terrifying. We see severe economic depression, We see war, we see racial divide, we see attacks on Christians, we see Israel under threat from their enemies and many people are so fearful that they don't know what to do. Its easy to want to run and hide from todays problems, but Jesus has you in his hands and he is with you at every turn. If your in the gutter sleeping on cardboard boxes, all you have to do is call out his name. If you lost everything and you don't know where your next meal will come from or how to feed your children, don't call on the government to help, but call on Jesus and he will meet you where you are.
I like the song "Where You Are" by Nate Ward, I want to be Where Jesus is, not where the world is and here is the great thing about calling on the name of Jesus, he will come to you and reach out his hand and lift you up, all you have to do and reach up and take his and you will know the love, grace and peace of our God. Calling on the Lord is an everyday act for everyone, Christians and those who don't know God. We don't see those who call out to the Lord, those who are in need, but everyday people Give their lives to Jesus with no help from other Christians.
Jesus loves both righteous and sinner, he will answer both jew and gentile, even the most evil in humanity, if they call on him. Calling out to the Lord by man is usually done when we are in trouble, but what about when we are not? we just call out the name of Jesus, whether in joy or sadness.
Jesus is our redeemer and he is very active in our lives, going before the father on our behalf. But rather than call on the Lord for ourselves, call on the Lord on the behalf of someone else, someone you don't know, someone who needs Jesus, or someone who just needs a simple blessing in their life. Call on the name of Jesus, he is listening. Read less
