(Lev 10:1-3) They came without a substitute for their sin and therefore they were devoured not being sanctified (adhering to the Word of God). This is why Aaron in chapter 16:1-3 is reminded of the instruction not to enter the holy place without the young bullock, FOR HIS SIN. After the substitute was consumed by the fire of God (Lev 9:24), the coals were to be taken from the altar, to burn the sweet incenses. This is a warning for us today not to come unto the most holy place without Christ Jesus, our substitute for our sin! See 2 Pet 3:7-14, those who are without a substitute will be devoured by the fire of God for He will sanctify the heavens and the earth. This is why here in verse three He says "I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace." Job was restored double for all of his losses except for his children, his sons he received the same amount being seven and his daughters were the same number being three. Why? Can it be that his first ten children were waiting in Paradise still living? Therefore there would only be the need of ten additional children (seven sons, three daughters) to have his double portion! What are the idols of today? During Isaiah's day it was gold and silver formed into a statue of some sort. An idol is the imagination of man formed into a useless image that one looks to for comfort, strength, deliverance, status or even power to which that image has no ability to do anything. Look at all the things of today that are the imagination of man from homes, to cars, clothing, jewelry and now for many even "church", they have as a status, a status of success, acceptance or power. The acceptance one should strive for, is to partake in the PLEASURE of God the Creator of the Universe who sustains all and Who desires me to fully acknowledge that it is He Who sustains my life and Who CAN and WILL deliver, carry and bear me through and from ALL my troubles, the greatest being SIN and DEATH!........ Who is like Him?........Is there anyone or anything else that can or has conquered death?...........Only He, and He declares the end from the beginning and none other! What will life really look like if I keep Jesus' words and His commandments? HOLY, SANCTIFIED! Jesus' words will make one peculiar and going the opposite direction or the narrow minded path, compared to those of the world. When was the last time I was called narrow minded? This is why the promise of the Comforter was here promised and then poured out, for the the believer in Christ Jesus to have the POWER to walk peculiar and holy and sanctified, to which they are called a "Saint" (being someone who is walking the narrow way) or a "disciple of Christ Jesus" (one who is disciplining themselves from the natural unrighteous desires and lusts of the flesh). How well am I standing out among this lost and dying world? Do I hear the Words of Jesus Christ in my thoughts and coming out of my mouth, that the Holy Spirit is bringing to remembrance as He is teaching me? Am I bright white among red? Did I manifest the righteousness and love of Christ Jesus today? The true love of Jesus, loved His enemies (who I once was) so much so, that He laid down His life for them that they would have the opportunity to believe and repent unto obedience of His Word unto eternal life!  Read less

I am very thankful for growing up in the "church", but the problem was that I wasn't directed to The Word of God for answers to questions and thoughts. My life was transformed when I surrendered out of desperation and started seeking the face of my heavenly Father through His Word and desiring to keep the things that He has commanded me! I became at odds not only with the world but with the self religious all because of His Word. At first I was a mist of the circumstances but after diligently walking daily in the Word I saw that Jesus Himself was having these same struggles because all power was given unto Him and Satan cannot stand that! Is it always easy to continue in faith when things are hard and the fire is burning hot? Not so for me many times. I found myself just last week failing miserably as God my Father desired for me to stand by faith and trust that He will not let His name be polluted. The time to trust Him the most is when I can't see with my physical eyes, nor hear with my physical ears His way, especially when my flesh is screaming there is no God to lead your way! It is then that His creation and His Word and His commandments are sufficient to protect me and comfort me. He was at the beginning and He is at the end so why am I troubled or tempted? Why shall I step back from Him? What does this life have to offer separate and apart from a loving God and Father? Is it not He who holds this whole universe from becoming chaos? Indeed it is He and He is my Redeemer, who teaches me to profit, and leadeth me in the way that I should go all FOR HIS OWN SAKE and He will not give His glory to another! You God and Father are the potter and I am the clay! You provide everything which pertains to life and righteousness, may I fellowship and receive from You Almighty, LIVING WATER from the ROCK.  Read less
