|1||Upon the reading of the law, separation is made from the mixed multitude.|
|4||Nehemiah, at his return, causes the chambers to be cleansed.|
|10||He reforms the offices in the house of God;|
|15||the violation of the sabbath;|
|23||and the marriages with the strange wives.|

And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.
