1 John 1:1-4

Listen to 1 John 1:1-4

Prologue

1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have observed,[a] and have touched with our hands, concerning the Word of life-
2 that life was revealed, and we have seen it and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us-
3 what we have seen and heard we also declare to you, so that you may have fellowship along with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
4 We are writing these things[b] so that our[c] joy may be complete.

Do you have eternal life?
Do you have eternal life?
Dr. J. Vernon McGee

“For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.” Eternal life that John is talking about is the Word of Life and it’s none other than the Son, Jesus Christ. If you want to know what eternal life is, you want a definition of it, eternal life is a person and that person is Christ. You either have Christ or you don’t have Christ. You either trust Christ or you don’t trust Christ. And if you trust Christ, you have eternal life. If you don’t trust Christ, you don’t have eternal life. Do you have eternal life?
