Lièwángjìshang 6

1 Yǐsèliè rén chū Āijí dì hòu sì bǎi bā shí nián , Suǒluómén zuò Yǐsèliè wáng dì sì nián Xīfú yuè , jiù shì èr yuè , kāi gōng jiànzào Yēhéhuá de diàn .

2 Suǒluómén wáng wèi Yēhéhuá suǒ jiàn de diàn , cháng liù shí zhǒu , kuān èr shí zhǒu , gāo sān shí zhǒu .

3 Diàn qián de lángzi zhǎng èr shí zhǒu , yǔ diàn de kuān zhǎi yíyàng , kuò shí zhǒu .

4 Yòu wèi diàn zuò le yán jǐn de chuāng líng .

5 Kào zhe diàn qiáng , wéi zhe waì diàn neì diàn , zào le sān céng páng wū .

6 Xià céng kuān wǔ zhǒu , zhōng céng kuān liù zhǒu , shàng céng kuān qī zhǒu . diàn waì páng wū de liángmù gé zaì diàn qiáng kǎn shàng , miǎndé chārù diàn qiáng .

7 Jiàn diàn shì yòng shān zhōng zaó chéng de shítou . jiàn diàn de shíhou , chuí zǐ , fǔzi , hé bié yàng tiĕ qì de xiǎngshēng dōu méiyǒu tīngjian .

8 Zaì diàn yòubiān dāngzhōng de páng wū yǒu mén , mén neì yǒu xuán luó de lóu tī , kĕyǐ shàng dào dì èr céng , cóng dì èr céng kĕyǐ shàng dào dì sān céng .

9 Suǒluómén jiàn diàn , ānzhì xiāng bǎi mù de liàn liáng , yòu yòng xiāng bǎi mù bǎn zhēgaì .

10 Kào zhe diàn suǒ zào de páng wū , mĕi céng gāo wǔ zhǒu , xiāng bǎi mù de liàn liáng gé zaì diàn qiáng kǎn shàng .

11 Yēhéhuá de huà líndào Suǒluómén shuō ,

12 Lún dào nǐ suǒ jiàn de zhè diàn , nǐ ruò zūnxíng wǒde lǜ lì , jǐn shǒu wǒde diǎnzhāng , zūn cóng wǒde yīqiè jièmìng , wǒ bì xiàng nǐ yìngyàn wǒ suǒ yīngxǔ nǐ fùqin Dàwèi de huà .

13 Wǒ bì zhù zaì Yǐsèliè rén zhōngjiān , bìng bù diūqì wǒ mín Yǐsèliè .

14 Suǒluómén jiànzào diàn yǔ .

15 Diàn lǐmiàn yòng xiāng bǎi mù bǎn tiē qiáng , cóng dì dào péng dǐng dōu yòng mù bǎn zhē bì , yòu yòng sōng mù bǎn pū dì .

16 Neì diàn , jiù shì zhì shèng suǒ , cháng èr shí zhǒu , cóng dì dào péng dǐng yòng xiāng bǎi mù bǎn zhē bì ( huò zuò gé duàn ) .

17 Neì diàn qián de waì diàn , cháng sì shí zhǒu .

18 Diàn lǐ yídiǎn shítou dōu bú xiǎnlù , yígaì yòng xiāng bǎi mù zhē bì . shàngmian kè zhe yĕ guā hé chū kāi de huā .

21 Suǒluómén yòng jīng jīn tiē le diàn neì de qiáng , yòu yòng jīn liànzi guà zaì neì diàn qián mén shān , yòng jīn bāoguǒ .

22 Quán diàn dōu tiē shàng jīnzi , zhídào tiē wán . neì diàn qián de tán , yĕ dōu yòng jīn bāoguǒ .

23 Tā yòng gǎnlǎn mù zuò liǎng gè Jīlùbǎi , gè gāo shí zhǒu , ān zaì neì diàn .

24 Zhè yī gè Jīlùbǎi yǒu liǎng gè chìbǎng , gè cháng wǔ zhǒu , cóng zhè chìbǎng jiān dào nà chìbǎng jiān gōng yǒu shí zhǒu .

25 Nà yī gè Jīlùbǎi de liǎng gè chìbǎng yĕ shì shí zhǒu , liǎng gè Jīlùbǎi de chǐcùn , xíngxiàng dōu shì yíyàng .

26 Zhè Jīlùbǎi gāo shí zhǒu , nà Jīlùbǎi yĕ shì rúcǐ .

27 Tā jiāng liǎng gè Jīlùbǎi ān zaì neì diàn lǐ . Jīlùbǎi de chìbǎng shì zhāng kāi de , zhè Jīlùbǎi de yī gè chìbǎng ái zhe zhèbiān de qiáng , nà Jīlùbǎi de yī gè chìbǎng ái zhe nàbiān de qiáng , lǐbiān de liǎng gè chìbǎng zaì diàn zhōngjiān bǐcǐ xiāng jiē .

28 Yòu yòng jīnzi bāoguǒ èr Jīlùbǎi .

29 Neì diàn , waì diàn zhōuwéi de qiáng shàng dōu kè zhe Jīlùbǎi , zōng shù , hé chū kāi de huā .

30 Neì diàn , waì diàn de dì bǎn dōu tiē shàng jīnzi .

31 Yòu yòng gǎnlǎn mù zhìzào neì diàn de mén shān , ménméi , ménkuàng . ménkǒu yǒu qiáng de wǔ fēn ...zhīyī .

34 Yòng sōng mù zuò mén liǎng shān . zhè shān fēn liǎng shān , shì zhé dié de . nà shān fēn liǎng shān . yĕ shì zhé dié de .

35 Shàngmian kè zhe Jīlùbǎi , zōng shù , hé chū kāi de huā , dōu yòng jīnzi tiē le .

Lièwángjìshang 6 Commentary

Chapter 6

The building of Solomon's temple. (1-10) Promise given concerning the temple. (11-14) Particulars respecting the temple. (15-38)

Verses 1-10 The temple is called the house of the Lord, because it was directed and modelled by him, and was to be employed in his service. This gave it the beauty of holiness, that it was the house of the Lord, which was far beyond all other beauties. It was to be the temple of the God of peace, therefore no iron tool must be heard; quietness and silence suit and help religious exercises. God's work should be done with much care and little noise. Clamour and violence often hinder, but never further the work of God. Thus the kingdom of God in the heart of man grows up in silence, ( Mark 5:27 ) .

Verses 11-14 None employ themselves for God, without having his eye upon them. But God plainly let Solomon know that all the charge for building this temple, would neither excuse from obedience to the law of God, nor shelter from his judgments, in case of disobedience.

Verses 15-38 See what was typified by this temple. 1. Christ is the true Temple. In him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead; in him meet all God's spiritual Israel; through him we have access with confidence to God. 2. Every believer is a living temple, in ( 1 Corinthians. 3:16 ) built upon Christ as its Foundation, and will be perfect in due time. 3. The gospel church is the mystical temple. It grows to a holy temple in the Lord, enriched and beautified with the gifts and graces of the Spirit. This temple is built firm, upon a Rock. 4. Heaven is the everlasting temple. There the church will be fixed. All that shall be stones in that building, must, in the present state of preparation, be fitted and made ready for it. Let sinners come to Jesus as the living Foundation, that they may be built on him, a part of this spiritual house, consecrated in body and soul to the glory of God.

This chapter gives an account of the building of the temple, for which preparations were before made and begins with the time of its building, 1Ki 6:1; gives the dimensions of it and the porch before it, 1Ki 6:2,3; observes the windows in it and chambers about it, 1Ki 6:4-10; and while it was building, Solomon had a word from the Lord relative to it, 1Ki 6:11-14; and then the account goes on concerning the walls of the house, and the flooring of it, 1Ki 6:15-18; and the oracle in it, and the cherubim in that, 1Ki 6:19-30; and the doors into it, and the carved work of them, 1Ki 6:31-36; and the chapter is concluded with observing the time when it was begun and finished 1Ki 6:37,38.
