1 Corinthians 13:3 DBY

3 And if I shall dole out all my goods in food, and if I deliver up my body that I may be burned, but have not love, I profit nothing.

The word means also 'a mirror,' but it is used for window, made, not of clear transparent glass, as now, but of semi-transparent materials. In this verse, 'know' (partially) is ginosko, the words used for 'know' and 'known' in the last clause of the verse are from epiginosko, which is stronger, as in Matt. 11.27.
