Deuteronomy 7:7-8 (New International Version)

7 The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous1 than other peoples, for you were the fewest2 of all peoples.3 8 But it was because the LORD loved4 you and kept the oath he swore5 to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand6 and redeemed7 you from the land of slavery,8 from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
