Shammah [N] [H] [S] One of the "dukes" of Edom ( Genesis 36:13 Genesis 36:17 ). One of the sons of Jesse ( 1 Samuel 16:9 ). He is also called Shimeah ( 2 Samuel 13:3 ) and Shimma ( 1 Chronicles 2:13 ). One of David's three mighty men ( 2 Samuel 23:11 2 Samuel 23:12 ). One of David's mighties ( 2 Samuel 23:25 ); called also Shammoth ( 1 Chronicles 11:27 ) and Shamhuth ( 27:8 ). These dictionary topics are from
