4To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of
5wisdom, and to another the utterance of
6knowledge according to the same Spirit,

to another
7faith by the same Spirit, to another
8gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

to another
9the working of miracles, to another
10prophecy, to another
11the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another
12various kinds of tongues, to another
13the interpretation of tongues.

All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit,
14who apportions to each one individually
15as he wills.
One Body with Many Members
12 For just as
16the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body,
17so it is with Christ.

For
18in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--
19Jews or Greeks, slaves or free--and
20all were made to drink of one Spirit.

For the body does not consist of one member but of many.

If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," that would not make it any less a part of the body.
