Acts 10:41-48

1not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as 2witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
And 3he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify 4that he is the one appointed by God to be judge 5of the living and the dead.
6To him 7all the prophets bear witness that 8everyone who believes in him receives 9forgiveness of sins 10through his name."

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles

While Peter was still saying these things, 11the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.
And the believers from among 12the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because 13the gift of the Holy Spirit 14was poured out even on the Gentiles.
For they were hearing them 15speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared,
16"Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit 17just as we have?"
And he 18commanded them 19to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.
