54 Now when they heard these things 3they were enraged, and they 4ground their teeth at him. 55 But he, 5full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw 6the glory of God, and Jesus standing 7at the right hand of God. 56 And he said, "Behold, I see 8the heavens opened, and 9the Son of Man standing 10at the right hand of God." 57 But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed togethera at him. 58 Then 11they cast him out of the city and 12stoned him. And 13the witnesses laid down their garments 14at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And as they were stoning Stephen, 15he called out, "Lord Jesus, 16receive my spirit." 60 And 17falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, 18"Lord, do not hold this sin against them."
