And 1he gave the 2apostles, the prophets, the 3evangelists, the 4shepherdsa and teachers,b

5to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for 6building up 7the body of Christ,
13
until we all attain to 8the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, 9to mature manhood,c to the measure of the stature of 10the fullness of Christ,
14
so that we may no longer be children, 11tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in 12deceitful schemes.
