Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called "the uncircumcision" by what is called 8the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands--
remember 9that you were at that time separated from Christ, 10alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to 11the covenants of promise, 12having no hope and without God in the world.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were 13far off have been brought near 14by the blood of Christ.
For 15he himself is our peace, 16who has made us both one and has broken down 17in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in 18ordinances, that he might create in himself one 19new man in place of the two, so making peace,
and might 20reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.
And he came and 21preached peace to you who were 22far off and peace to those who were 23near.
For 24through him we both have 25access in 26one Spirit to the Father.
So then you are no longer 27strangers and aliens,a but you are 28fellow citizens with the saints and 29members of the household of God,
