addressing one another in 1psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,
202giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father 3in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
214submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
225Wives, 6submit to your own husbands, 7as to the Lord.
For 8the husband is the head of the wife even as 9Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is 10himself its Savior.
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit 11in everything to their husbands.
2512Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and 13gave himself up for her,
that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by 14the washing of water 15with the word,
so 16that he might present the church to himself in splendor, 17without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.a28
In the same way 18husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,
