52Slaves,a obey your earthly mastersb with fear and trembling, 3with a sincere heart, 4as you would Christ,
not by the way of eye-service, as 5people-pleasers, but as servantsc of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man,
86knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, 7whether he is a slave or free.
Masters, do the same to them, 8and stop your threatening, knowing that 9he who is both their Masterd and yours is in heaven, and that 10there is no partiality with him.
Finally, 11be strong in the Lord and in 12the strength of his might.
1113Put on 14the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against 15the schemes of the devil.
For 16we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against 17the rulers, against the authorities, against 18the cosmic powers over 19this present darkness, against 20the spiritual forces of evil 21in the heavenly places.
Therefore 22take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in 23the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Stand therefore, 24having fastened on the belt of truth, and 25having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
