Like 1emery harder than flint have I made your forehead. 2Fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house."
Moreover, he said to me, "Son of man, 3all my words that I shall speak to you receive 4in your heart, and hear with your ears.
And go to the exiles, 5to your people, and speak to them and say to them, 6'Thus says the Lord GOD,'7whether they hear or refuse to hear."
128Then the Spirita lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voiceb of 9a great earthquake: "Blessed be the glory of the LORD from its place!"
It was the sound of the wings of 10the living creatures as they touched one another, and the sound of the wheels beside them, and the sound of 11a great earthquake.
1412The Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the 13hand of the LORD being strong upon me.
1514And I came to the exiles at Tel-abib, who were dwelling 15by the Chebar canal, and I sat where they were dwelling.c And 16I sat there 17overwhelmed among them 18seven days.
1619And at the end of seven days, the word of the LORD came to me:
1720"Son of man, 21I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall 22give them warning from me.
1823If I say to the wicked, 24'You shall surely die,'25and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person 26shall die ford his iniquity, 27but his blood I will require at your hand.
1928But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, 29but you 30will have delivered your soul.
