So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, 1I am the door of the sheep.8All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.9I am the door. If anyone enters by me, 2he will be saved and will go in and out and 3find pasture.10The thief comes only to steal and 4kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.115I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd 6lays down his life for the sheep.12He who is 7a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and 8leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and 9scatters them.13He flees because 10he is a hired hand and 11cares nothing for the sheep.1412I am the good shepherd. 13I know my own and 14my own know me,1515just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and 16I lay down my life for the sheep.16And 17I have other sheep that are not of this fold. 18I must bring them also, and 19they will listen to my voice. So there will be 20one flock, 21one shepherd.1722For this reason the Father loves me, 23because 24I lay down my life that I may take it up again.
