9
I am the door. If anyone enters by me, 1he will be saved and will go in and out and 2find pasture.
10
The thief comes only to steal and 3kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
11
4I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd 5lays down his life for the sheep.
12
He who is 6a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and 7leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and 8scatters them.
13

11I am the good shepherd. 12I know my own and 13my own know me,
15

16
And 16I have other sheep that are not of this fold. 17I must bring them also, and 18they will listen to my voice. So there will be 19one flock, 20one shepherd.
17
21For this reason the Father loves me, 22because 23I lay down my life that I may take it up again.
18
24No one takes it from me, but 25I lay it down 26of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and 27I have authority to take it up again. 28This charge I have received from my Father."
