So the Pharisees said to one another,
1“You see that you are gaining nothing. Look,
2the world has gone after him. ”
Some Greeks Seek Jesus
20 Now
3among those who went up to worship at the feast were some
4Greeks.

So these came to
5Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus. ”

Philip went and told
6Andrew; Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus.

And Jesus answered them,
7“The hour has come
8for the Son of Man to be glorified.
24
Truly, truly, I say to you,
9unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
25
10Whoever loves his life loses it, and
11whoever
12hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
26
If anyone serves me, he must
13follow me; and
14where I am, there will my servant be also.
15If anyone serves me,
16the Father will honor him.
The Son of Man Must Be Lifted Up
27 17“Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father,
18save me from
19this hour’? But
20for this purpose I have come to
21this hour.

Father, glorify your name. ”Then
22a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again. ”

The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said,
23“An angel has spoken to him. ”
