John 15:12-17

1"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
2Greater love has no one than this, 3that someone lay down his life for his friends.
You are 4my friends 5if you do what I command you.
6No longer do I call you servants,[a] for the servant[b] 7 does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for 8all that I have heard from my Father 9I have made known to you.
You did not choose me, but 10I chose you and appointed you that you should go and 11bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that 12whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
These things I command you, 13so that you will love one another.
