"Your right hand,1 O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand,2 O LORD, shattered3 the enemy.
In the greatness of your majesty4 you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger;5 it consumed6 them like stubble.
By the blast of your nostrils7 the waters piled up.8 The surging waters stood firm like a wall;9 the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.109
"The enemy boasted, 'I will pursue,11 I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils;12 I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.'
But you blew with your breath,13 and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.1411
"Who among the gods is like you,15 O LORD? Who is like you--majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
You stretched out16 your right hand and the earth swallowed them.1713
"In your unfailing love you will lead18 the people you have redeemed.19 In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.2014
The nations will hear and tremble;21 anguish22 will grip the people of Philistia.2315
The chiefs24 of Edom25 will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling,26 the peoplea of Canaan will melt27 away;
terror28 and dread will fall upon them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone29-- until your people pass by, O LORD, until the people you boughtb30 pass by.31
