26 Then God said, "Let us¹ make man² in our image,³ in our likeness,⁴ and let them rule⁵ over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air,⁶ over the livestock, over all the earth,^a and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So God created⁷ man⁸ in his own image,⁹ in the image of God¹⁰ he created him; male and female¹¹ he created them.¹²
