Leviticus 2:15 Meaning and Commentary

Leviticus 2:15

And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense
thereon
Either on the ears of corn dried, or on the fine flour of them when ground; in like manner as the oil and frankincense were put upon the fine flour of wheat, and upon the cakes and wafers baked, ( Leviticus 2:1 Leviticus 2:4 Leviticus 2:5 Leviticus 2:7 )

it [is] a meat offering;
one sort of it, and like the rest.

Leviticus 2:15 In-Context

13 Put salt on every grain offering, because salt represents the covenant between you and God. (You must put salt on all your offerings.)
14 When you bring to the Lord an offering of the first grain harvested, offer roasted grain or ground meal.
15 Add olive oil and put incense on it.
16 The priest will burn that part of the meal and oil that is to serve as a token, and also all the incense, as a food offering to the Lord.
