For he was looking forward to the city1 with foundations,2 whose architect and builder is God.311
By faith Abraham, even though he was past age--and Sarah herself was barren4--was enabled to become a father5 because hea considered him faithful6 who had made the promise.

All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised;9 they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance.10 And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.1114
People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.
