11 Woe to the wicked!1 Disaster2 is upon them! They will be paid back3 for what their hands have done.4 12 Youths5 oppress my people, women rule over them. O my people, your guides lead you astray;6 they turn you from the path. 13 The LORD takes his place in court;7 he rises to judge8 the people. 14 The LORD enters into judgment9 against the elders and leaders of his people: "It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder10 from the poor11 is in your houses. 15 What do you mean by crushing my people12 and grinding13 the faces of the poor?"14 declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.15 16 The LORD says, "The women of Zion16 are haughty, walking along with outstretched necks,17 flirting with their eyes, tripping along with mincing steps, with ornaments jingling on their ankles. 17 Therefore the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the women of Zion; the LORD will make their scalps bald.18" 18 In that day19 the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces,20 19 the earrings and bracelets21 and veils,22 20 the headdresses23 and ankle chains and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms, 21 the signet rings and nose rings,24
