Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them.1 Those who wage war against you will be as nothing2 at all.
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand3 and says to you, Do not fear; I will help4 you.
Do not be afraid,5 O worm6 Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help7 you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer,8 the Holy One9 of Israel.
"See, I will make you into a threshing sledge,10 new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains11 and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.1216
You will winnow13 them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale14 will blow them away.15 But you will rejoice16 in the LORD and glory17 in the Holy One18 of Israel.
"The poor and needy search for water,19 but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst.20 But I the LORD will answer21 them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake22 them.
I will make rivers flow23 on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert24 into pools of water,25 and the parched ground into springs.2619
I will put in the desert27 the cedar and the acacia,28 the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines29 in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress30 together,3120
so that people may see and know,32 may consider and understand,33 that the hand34 of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One35 of Israel has created36 it.
