This is what the LORD says: "The products1 of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush,a and those tall Sabeans2-- they will come over to you3 and will be yours; they will trudge behind you,4 coming over to you in chains.5 They will bow down before you and plead6 with you, saying, 'Surely God is with you,7 and there is no other; there is no other god.8' "
Truly you are a God who hides9 himself, O God and Savior10 of Israel.
All the makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced;11 they will go off into disgrace together.
But Israel will be saved12 by the LORD with an everlasting salvation;13 you will never be put to shame or disgraced,14 to ages everlasting.
For this is what the LORD says-- he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth,15 he founded it; he did not create it to be empty,16 but formed it to be inhabited17-- he says: "I am the LORD, and there is no other.1819
I have not spoken in secret,19 from somewhere in a land of darkness;20 I have not said to Jacob's descendants,21 'Seek22 me in vain.' I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.2320
"Gather together24 and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant25 are those who carry26 about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.2721
Declare what is to be, present it-- let them take counsel together. Who foretold28 this long ago, who declared it from the distant past?29 Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me,30 a righteous God31 and a Savior;32 there is none but me.
"Turn33 to me and be saved,34 all you ends of the earth;35 for I am God, and there is no other.3623
By myself I have sworn,37 my mouth has uttered in all integrity38 a word that will not be revoked:39 Before me every knee will bow;40 by me every tongue will swear.4124
They will say of me, 'In the LORD alone are righteousness42 and strength.43' " All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.44
