Job 37:1-10 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
1 "At this my heart pounds1 and leaps from its place. 2 Listen!2 Listen to the roar of his voice,3 to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.4 3 He unleashes his lightning5 beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth.6 4 After that comes the sound of his roar; he thunders7 with his majestic voice.8 When his voice resounds, he holds nothing back. 5 God's voice thunders9 in marvelous ways;10 he does great things beyond our understanding.11 6 He says to the snow,12 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'13 7 So that all men he has made may know his work,14 he stops every man from his labor.a15 8 The animals take cover;16 they remain in their dens.17 9 The tempest comes out from its chamber,18 the cold from the driving winds.19 10 The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen.20
