Fire resides in his tent;1 burning sulfur2 is scattered over his dwelling.
His roots dry up below3 and his branches wither above.4
The memory of him perishes from the earth;5 he has no name6 in the land.7
He is driven from light into darkness8 and is banished9 from the world.10
He has no offspring11 or descendants12 among his people, no survivor13 where once he lived.14
Men of the west are appalled15 at his fate;16 men of the east are seized with horror.
